The Eagle One makes this list because Varla found a way to build a quality electric scooter with similar specs to many currently on the market, while keeping the price competitive at $1,599. And it even comes with some cool accessories.
The 77-pound scooter rolls on 10-inch pneumatic tires with dual 1,000-watt brushless motors powered by a big 52-volt, 18.2Ah lithium-Ion battery. Rated top speed: 40 mph. I was only able to get up to about 33 mph but my lighter girlfriend hopped on and hit 37 mph. The Eagle One supports a total weight of 330 pounds but is recommended for riders up to 265 pounds.
On a single charge you can get up to 40 miles of travel, but I only reached about half of that. I ride aggressively, though, switching between dual- and single-motor modes and staying in its top gear. Staying with a single motor and at slower speeds will always get you farther, but I like a little speed. The scooter can be charged in about eight hours with a single charger and just under five hours connected to a second charger.
There's a lot of common ground between the Varla Eagle One and its high-end competition. It has three gears, single- or dual-motor modes and an Eco button to help conserve battery. You'll also find dual-spring suspension, a wide deck with front and rear lights and dual hydraulic brakes that outperform their wired counterparts and require less maintenance. It even has a USB port in the odometer to charge your phone while you ride.
Varla also throws in some extra gear like three additional grip tapes with different designs (I'm currently using one with a flaming skull), a spare inner tube, wrist guards and elbow and knee pads. All you need is a helmet and you're ready to ride.

Clean Technica
Electric scooters have taken over the streets of many urban cities, but the lightweight, underpowered scooters comprising the fleets of Bird & Lime leave a bit to be desired for longer range trips, larger riders, and more serious commuting needs.
Varla Scooter reached out to us with their offering in the space and it is in a class apart. Online, the dual-motor, 2,000 watt Varla Eagle One electric scooter looks like an absolute beast and, in our testing, it holds up to the claims. They sent us a review unit free of charge for us to review and I’m happy to say that I lived to tell the tale because hot damn, the Varla Scooter is fast!

Electric Scooter Insider
Slick, stylish, and packing a serious punch when it comes to performance and ride quality, the Varla Eagle One is up there with the Apollo Ghost as the best entry-level performance scooter. Flaunting an inky black body with metallic red accents, it not only looks the part but is equipped to handle the most demanding on and off-road environments with ease. From buttery-smooth adjustable suspension to a generously sized deck, and powerful hydraulic disc brakes that can stop at a dime, the Eagle One rivals more expensive models. It is, pound-for-pound, one of the best value electric scooters.

MakeUseOf
If you're looking for an eScooter that copes as well with gravel and grass as it does tarmac, then you've come to the right place.
The Varla Eagle One is an excellent eScooter and one which will thrill any person riding it. It might be on the heavy side, and have large overall dimensions compared to other eScooters, but this is one beast you'll want to tame again and again. Cost-wise, the price-tag might put some people off, but this isn't just a scooter for getting to work; this is a scooter that will be heavily involved in your playtime, too. Highly recommended.

Electric Scooter Guide
The Pegasus really is a great value, for the right rider, at $1,099 — with some caveats.
It sets itself apart from the crowd with its looks and surprising stats for the price, but pales in comparison when it comes to build and ride quality. It’s a well-performing scooter for someone that can tune it along the way.
With low-maintenance tires, a nice deck and sweet display it’s got some great qualities for city life, but isn’t lightweight or compact for last-mile transfers to other types of transit. For daily riding, it isn’t the most robustly built but still makes a good choice for riders looking to go fast (on good terrain) on a budget.
RK9 Rides
There are some impressive things about this scooter that make it potentially the most fun scooter I have ever ridden. Clocking in at a max speed of 40 miles per hour, the Eagle One is scary fast. Dual 1000w motors mean neck-breaking acceleration, especially for those who have never owned a scooter this powerful. Steep terrain is also no issue. There isn’t a hill I have ridden that this scooter cannot handle.
Got Scooter
Varla Pegasus Electric Scooter, is a low maintenance dual motor electric scooter with features rarely seen in its price class.
The Pegasus features a unique design, dual 500 watt motors, large LCD display, with maintenance free features. In this review, I’m going to tell you what I loved and hated about the Varla Pegasus.

Electric Travel
Introducing the Varla Eagle One, one of the top entry-level electric performance scooters and a key competitor of the Apollo Ghost. Boasting a huge 52V 18.2aH lithium-ion battery grants this monster model a range of up to 40+ miles; one of the longest range eScooters we've reviewed. Unsurprisingly, this eScooter claims a speed to match, with a top speed of approx. 40 mp/h. The dual spring suspension ensures a suitably smooth ride, maintaining rider control when going over potholes and speed bumps. Choose from single/dual motor modes and 3 gears with varying power. In 3rd gear & dual motor, we actually felt wheelspin when accelerating from a stationary position. Although unofficial, we're convinced this scooter reaches 0-20 mp/h in under 3 seconds.
